    March 26, 2014 by khornby

The Grade 3’s have been learning a dance in the style of hip hop. It is an excellent activity for coordination and spatial awareness, as well as memory, rhythm, pattern, counting and processing. The dance is a bit tricky – they have been doing a great job however!

My apologies for the upside and sideways movies – technology has proven not to get along with me today….!

The Grade 3’s have been learning how to read chord grids to learn new chords. They are learning to play “Blowin’ in the Wind”, which they have been exploring over their last sessions. They have had to work together to read the grids and to help help each other with their finger placement. Learning a new instrument takes patience, practice and commitment!
