  1. Happy Holidays!

    April 6, 2014 by khornby

It is the beginning of school holidays – I would love to hear all about how the arts, music and drama can entertain your family.

    Some ideas may include….

    • Create a band using kitchen appliances (pots, pans, wooden spoons) and prepare a concert.
    • Dress up in clothes to create a character and put on a play.
    • Listen to music that is unfamiliar (Classical ABC is always good: FM 105.9) and draw a picture as you listen to the music.
    • “Fun with paint” workshops at Dandenong Bunnings on Saturday 12th April (check their website to book and for upcoming activities)
    • Create dances to songs, using ribbons or scarves to move with the music.
    • Sing songs that your family knows.
    • Create puppets using socks.
    • The Drum Theatre has some exciting performances on over the school holidays, including the Wizard of Oz and the Wiggles!
    • If heading into the city, there are usually free events at the Arts Centre, National Gallery of Victoria, ACMI (a DreamWorks animation exhibition will be opening in school holidays) and Federation Square
