  1. Sleeping, Sleeping…

    March 14, 2014 by khornby

The Prep children played a game called “Sleeping, Sleeping”. We sang a little tune that went “sleeping, sleeping, so fast asleep, so fast asleep is the…” and an object, animal or person was said. They needed to use their bodies and imagination to step into the role. There was wonderful creativity being displayed and problem solving (how can you step into the role of a tree?!?).

  2. Moving to Music

    March 7, 2014 by khornby

The grade 1’s explored moving to different sorts of music – however, they had to keep a stick between themselves and their partner. The stick had to be held by using only one finger. Once they got the hang of one stick, they were challenged with another! The students had to concentrate very hard and be aware of what their partner was doing and where they were moving. The fast music was definitely more challenging!
