Creating Rhythms

The grade 4’s have been learning the value of half, quarter and eighth notes. They have been creating their own rhythms using these notes. They have been applying wonderful problem solving skills, in ensuring that each bar adds to 4 beats. A half note equals 2 beats, a quarter note is 1 beat, and an eighth note is 1/2 a beat.

    This is what the grade 5\6 students did and it was so
    much fun, but then again, music is always fun and enjoyable.
